Jamie Lee Blomquist, 36

1970-2007

Jamie Lee Blomquist, age 36, of Austin, Minnesota died Tuesday evening, April 10, 2007 in Rochester from complications of an aneurysm suffered on Oct. 1, 2004.

He was born Aug. 19, 1970 to Gary and Sharon (Wendorf) Blomquist in Austin. After graduating from Austin High School in 1989, Jamie received a degree in machine technology in 1991 from Austin Technical College and a degree in CNC Programming from Riverland Technical College in 1992. He married Debbie Murphy on Aug. 21, 1993 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rose Creek, Minnesota. They made their home in Austin, and Jamie worked at Lou Rich, Inc. in Albert Lea as a CNC Programmer. He was a member of Crane Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie, of Austin; his two children: Tyler James, age 10, and Ryley Marie, age 6; his parents, Gary and Sharon Blomquist, of Austin; his brother, Tim (Elizabeth) Blomquist, of Pine Island, Minnesota; his two sisters: Kimberly (Eric) Kozak, and Jenny (Joe Bastyr) Blomquist, both of Austin; his paternal grandmother, Lorna Blomquist, of Winthrop, Minnesota; his father and mother-in-law, Dean and Carol Murphy, of Rose Creek; his sister-in-law, Penny Murphy, of Austin; and his brother-in-law, Pat (Holly) Murphy, of Austin.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bertel Blomquist; his maternal grandparents, Bonnie and Robert Wendorf; and by his an aunt, Doris Brazil.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Crane Community Chapel with Rev. Mark Goossen officiating. A prayer service was held on Saturday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel, led by Father Joseph Fogal. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Austin, Minnesota.
